The long way kills it

Screenshot, crop, then the other app. The joke is old by the time it arrives.

You already know the path

You see the picture. You screenshot it. You crop the buttons out. You open the chat and wonder if it still fits. Somewhere in there the moment moved. They already replied to something else. You send it anyway, with a sorry attached.

The crop is the tell. A picture with the app still in the frame looks like a forward. A picture that arrives whole looks like you made it for them. The difference is a few minutes, and those minutes are the joke.

Choose before you leave

Keep the picture and the person in the same place. Scroll until the line is theirs. Put their name on it if the line wants a name. Send that file. Do not collect four and choose inside the chat. Choosing is the part that has to happen while the moment is still true.

If the joke needed a paragraph to set it up, it was the wrong picture. The setup is what dies while you are cropping.
